Una data C-14 per il Pleistocene superiore del Nord Est della Sardegna – A 14C data for Late Pleistocene in the North Eastern part of Sardinia

Abstract

For a paleosol placed in the Molara Island between a «Panchina» formation, ascribed to Tyrrhenian, and an eolian formation on the top, a 14C data gave a value > 42.000 y.B.P. This is a coherent data to the paleosol significance. It testifies a progressive extension of lands after the Tyrrhenian transgression and over all confirms on wurmian age for the eolian sands.
